Confession: I have always saved my onion bags and no I am not a hoarder...
I make pot scrubbers with them an idea I stole from my Grandmother who has been doing this for as long as I can remember.
These little scrubbers work amazing on pots and pans or for scrubbing down the kitchen sink. They would also make a great little accessory for a housewarming gift bucket of natural cleaners.
Great idea! Sometimes my Grandmother saves hers for suet. She puts the suet in and hangs it outside for the birds.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. Years ago, when I was a Sunday School teacher, I used to save the onion bags for one particular lesson. It was the 'Fishers of Men' story in the bible. I would tell the children the story of when Jesus taught the disciples to become 'Fishers of men" and then I would give each of the children a colourful onion bag and ask them to fill it with cut out 'men' or 'women' to bring back the next week. The occupation always went down well with the children and they loved bringing in their bag the next week full of little men.
ReplyDeleteHI, Love your idea for the onion bags. I put them (onions) on my list. I bet I buy my onions based on bag color.
